The Law School Admission Game: Play Like an Expert is slight at around 170 pages, which makes it a perfect “handbook” size, but don’t let the thinness fool you; Levine has packed in lots of good information such as what to consider if you’re just thinking about law school, writing personal statements, and choosing your school.
As a former admissions officer and current law school consultant, Ann K. Levine, Esq. has worked with tens of thousands aspiring law students to help them get into the schools of their choice and her insider advice on the mechanics of applying to law school is invaluable for aspiring law students.
I especially like the chapter entitled “What I Wish I’d Known Before Applying to Law School” in which law students and graduates share their personal experiences. This type of down-to-earth information really matches Levine’s writing style, which makes you feel like you’re sitting right there with her, just having a cup of coffee and talking law school.
I give Levine’s book five stars and highly recommend it to anyone considering law school. I predict you’ll find yourself flipping back through it as you proceed through admissions; it is quite simply an excellent, comprehensive collection of information on the law school application process.
